Cairo Airport Transfers: Taxi, Shuttle and Metro

Cairo International Airport (CAI) has no metro platform in its terminals. The airport lists white taxis, limousine cars and city buses; private operators also offer booked rides. There is no single airport-published fare or road time for every Cairo district. Choose by terminal, luggage, destination and whether you want a price quote before departure. The airport says white taxis use meters. Older black-and-white taxis usually do not, so agree the fare before travelling. Plan all the way to your accommodation. Cairo Airport publishes no universal road distance or duration to downtown, and CAI is not listed as a Metro station. Green Line 3 reaches Adly Mansour, but you must first travel by road from CAI to a station. That transfer has a separate fare and traffic conditions. Mobility Cairo gives 58 minutes between Adly Mansour and Cairo University, and 60 minutes between Adly Mansour and Rod El Farag Corridor. Mobility Cairo lists Green Line 3's first Adly Mansour departures at 05:15 toward Cairo University and 05:20 toward Rod El Farag Corridor. The last are 23:33 and 23:29 respectively. The airport places public city buses at the bus station in the parking area in front of Terminal 1. Its page gives no universal first or last departure or frequency.
