Muscat Airport: Bus, Taxi and Car Hire

Muscat International Airport (MCT) is the airport travellers use for Muscat. The terminal sits on Sultan Qaboos Road between Muscat and Al-Seeb, so your best transfer depends on whether you value a low-cost public connection, a direct hotel drop-off or independent travel around Oman. Mwasalat’s Route A1 is the principal public-bus option. It links Al Mabelah, Muscat International Airport and Ruwi, with stops through Al Seeb, Al Khoudh, Al Hail, Al Mawaleh, Burj Al Sahwa, Al Azaiba, Al Khuwair, Qurum and Wadi Adei. At the airport, the public-bus station is on the ground floor outside the terminal building. Hotels and tour operators may arrange private courtesy buses. The bus route passes through several useful districts before reaching Ruwi.
