Hernals occupies northwest Vienna as the city's 17th district, formed in 1892 from three townships. Schloss Neuwaldegg is a historical palace, while Schwarzenbergpark provides green space and Metropol serves as a cultural venue. The district contains religious sites and museums of local interest alongside viewpoints and public art installations.
