Mexico City is a large, high-altitude capital made of several visitor districts rather than one centre. The Historic Centre contains the Zócalo, cathedral, museums and remains of Tenochtitlan. Reforma, Chapultepec and Polanco form a western corridor, Roma and Condesa sit farther south, and Coyoacán and Xochimilco require separate journeys. Assign each day to one district cluster and leave time for cross-city travel.

The National Museum of the Revolution occupies the Monument to the Revolution, a landmark structure in Mexico City. The monument itself was originally intended as a legislative palace during the Porfiriato but was repurposed after the revolutionary upheaval.
Museo de la Luz
The Museo de la Luz is a science museum operated by the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM). Located in Mexico City's historic centre, it occupies a building near the Metropolitan Cathedral.

Use the Historic Centre as one walking cluster, then treat Chapultepec and the Paseo de la Reforma museums as another. Roma, Condesa and Zona Rosa can be combined, while Coyoacán and San Ángel make a southern cultural day. Xochimilco lies farther southeast and Teotihuacán is outside the city. The official tourism guides map these areas separately because repeated crossings can consume more time than individual visits.

The Metro and Metrobús are the main public-transport backbone, supported by buses, trolleybuses and licensed taxis. Stations are dense in central districts but not every museum or southern attraction sits beside one. Plan the final walk and any interchange before departure, allowing more time at peak periods. Teotihuacán and other outlying destinations use separate regional transport and do not belong in a central Metro itinerary.
