Topkapı Park, also called Topkapı Şehir Parkı, is a municipal green space in Istanbul’s Topkapı neighbourhood, beside the historic inner land walls. Fatih Municipality places the park between the historic Topkapı entrance and the municipality’s Topkapı social facilities. The park occupies 9,125 square metres within a 10,125-square-metre site; the remaining 1,000 square metres is designated for parking. Its recorded facilities include green space, a children’s playground, seating and rest areas, a walking path, fitness equipment, a social facility and parking. The setting is useful for combining a short outdoor pause with a walk around the Topkapı section of Istanbul’s historic walls. The municipality describes the park as a public space completed for local residents, with greenery and places for children, families and recreation. This branch is the smaller Fatih park beside the inner walls, not the much larger Topkapı Culture Park complex in Zeytinburnu.
