Abbey Mills Mosque is the search name attached to Masjid Ilyas, also called the London Markaz or Riverine Centre, at the Abbey Mills site off Canning Road in Stratford/West Ham. The mapped POI represents the existing faith-site identity, not the unbuilt 12,000-person mosque once proposed for the wider land. A November 2025 statement published by Newham records that the site owners presented a new pre-application masterplan containing a replacement mosque; that proposal is future planning work, not the current building.

West Ham is the nearby interchange identified in Newham’s current Abbey Mills planning material. At the UTC check on 6 September 2026, TfL reported no step-free access to the District and Hammersmith & City lines there because of a faulty lift. That is a live disruption, not a permanent station condition; check TfL again on the travel date.
