01

Choose a taxi or pre-booked airport transfer

Cusco’s current scheduled passenger airport is Alejandro Velasco Astete International Airport (CUZ), operated by CORPAC. It is inside the city rather than in a separate airport town; Aeroexpreso describes the airport as about 6 kilometres from Cusco’s historic centre. For a normal city-hotel arrival, choose a taxi or reserve a private airport transfer before flying. (CORPAC airport information, checked 2026-09-28; Aeroexpreso Cusco airport transfer, checked 2026-09-28)

A taxi is the simplest option after baggage collection. CORPAC published a taxi-service selection notice for Cusco Airport Zone A in March 2026, but the notice does not set a passenger fare or confirm the chosen company. Taxi Cusco Airport advertises direct airport-to-hotel and hotel-to-airport journeys. Pre-booking gives you a named meeting arrangement; the company says its airport driver waits in the arrivals hall after baggage claim and holds a sign with your name. (CORPAC Cusco airport technical sheet, checked 2026-09-28; Taxi Cusco Airport FAQ, checked 2026-09-28)

Aeroexpreso is a bookable airport-transfer service rather than a turn-up city bus. From CUZ it serves hotels, Airbnb addresses, homes and train stations in Cusco’s historic centre, and also lists Ollantaytambo, Poroy, Chinchero, Pisac, Calca and Urubamba. Vehicles carry up to seven passengers; when only one passenger is booked for a departure, Aeroexpreso says it assigns a private vehicle without an additional charge, subject to availability. Allow up to 30 minutes for a city transfer

Taxi Cusco Airport states that its hotel-to-airport trip takes no more than 30 minutes. This is the provider’s estimate for the return-to-airport leg, not a promise for each hotel or for the airport-to-hotel trip. The airport is close to central Cusco, but the final address matters: a hotel in the historic centre, San Blas, Wanchaq or farther along Avenida de la Cultura does not have the same road approach. (Taxi Cusco Airport FAQ, checked 2026-09-28)

Aeroexpreso does not publish one universal CUZ-to-Cusco duration on its airport page. Instead, it sells a direct journey to the selected hotel, home, Airbnb or station and places the available itinerary in its booking search. The operator says its route is direct, with no intermediate-city stops, and that the service is arranged around arriving flights. Select the exact destination and travel date before treating the displayed itinerary as your journey time. (Aeroexpreso Cusco airport transfer, checked 2026-09-28; Aeroexpreso booking search, checked 2026-09-28)

For either option, separate the airport leg from the time needed to disembark, collect luggage and find the vehicle. Aeroexpreso instructs arrivals to leave baggage collection and go to the arrivals door, where its representative waits outside on the left. Taxi Cusco Airport says its driver waits after baggage claim. Put the flight number into the booking so the operator can match the pickup to the actual arrival. 03

Compare the published taxi and shuttle prices

Taxi Cusco Airport lists an airport-to-hotel sedan from USD 10 per car for up to three passengers. Larger vehicle prices on the same page differ between the static fare table and the embedded booking cards, so treat USD 10 as a starting price only and confirm the vehicle-specific total for the exact hotel. Its FAQ says listed prices include tolls and tips, but out-of-area destinations or extra stops can add a supplement. (Taxi Cusco Airport services, checked 2026-09-28; Taxi Cusco Airport FAQ, checked 2026-09-28)

Aeroexpreso does not print a single fixed Cusco airport-transfer fare on its explanatory page. The operator directs travellers to its search tool, where the route, date, passenger count and selected destination determine the available price. Payment is available by debit card, credit card, PayPal, Yape or Plin, and the company says the fare includes IGV with no extra payment after checkout. Use the live result for your hotel rather than transferring a fare from another Cusco destination. (Aeroexpreso plan-your-trip page, checked 2026-09-28; Aeroexpreso help, checked 2026-09-28)

Airport-use charges are separate from an arrival transfer. Compare the operator’s quote for the selected vehicle and confirm what it includes before paying.

04

Use the flight-linked booking timetable

Aeroexpreso does not publish a repeating “every 10 minutes” or “every 30 minutes” pattern for CUZ. It describes Cusco as an airport-transfer service with itineraries linked to flights and tells passengers to select the first available time after landing. The operator’s booking search is therefore the timetable: enter the date, destination and flight details, then use the departures it returns. Tickets for Cusco airport transfer are bought through the website, not from a driver at the terminal. (Aeroexpreso plan-your-trip page, checked 2026-09-28; Aeroexpreso Cusco airport transfer, checked 2026-09-28)

CORPAC’s latest published operating notice for Alejandro Velasco Astete gives an operating window from 04:00 to 02:00. That window describes airport operations, not a promise that a shuttle leaves at every point within it. Match your transfer to the confirmed flight arrival and check for operational notices before travelling. (CORPAC airport operations notice, checked 2026-09-28)

Taxi Cusco Airport publishes service every day for 24 hours. Its FAQ says the airport driver waits up to one hour from the actual flight landing time, while an airport-to-city booking should still contain the correct flight number and contact details. This makes a pre-booked taxi the clearest choice when your arrival falls outside the shuttle departures displayed by Aeroexpreso. (Taxi Cusco Airport contact page, checked 2026-09-28; Taxi Cusco Airport FAQ, checked 2026-09-28)

05

Plan late arrivals and Sunday journeys before flying

For a late arrival, check the flight-linked Aeroexpreso search first. The operator says its Cusco service monitors flight timing and boards passengers on the next available transfer when a flight is early or delayed. Its airport instructions place the representative outside the arrivals door, on the left, after baggage collection. If no suitable departure is listed, reserve the 24-hour taxi service instead of assuming that a shuttle will be waiting. (Aeroexpreso Cusco airport transfer, checked 2026-09-28; Aeroexpreso plan-your-trip page, checked 2026-09-28; Taxi Cusco Airport contact page, checked 2026-09-28)

Sunday travel has no separate fixed frequency published for the Aeroexpreso Cusco route. Enter Sunday in the operator’s planner and use the returned service for that date; do not reuse a weekday departure from a previous booking. Taxi Cusco Airport explicitly lists Monday-to-Sunday service for 24 hours, so a pre-booked car covers a Sunday arrival or an early Sunday airport departure. (Aeroexpreso booking search, checked 2026-09-28; Taxi Cusco Airport contact page, checked 2026-09-28)

For the return to CUZ, Taxi Cusco Airport recommends requesting hotel pickup at least 2.5 hours before the flight and publishes a maximum trip duration of 30 minutes. Keep additional time for hotel checkout, luggage and airport procedures. Aeroexpreso accepts return reservations separately, so book the reverse journey rather than assuming the arrival ticket includes it. (Taxi Cusco Airport FAQ, checked 2026-09-28; Aeroexpreso plan-your-trip page, checked 2026-09-28)

06

Check luggage limits and meeting instructions

Aeroexpreso includes space for one checked bag of up to 23 kg per passenger, plus personal items that fit at the seat. The operator says excess baggage has no penalty when space is available, but availability controls the result. A vehicle carries up to seven passengers, so large groups should check the booking capacity rather than expecting one car for everyone. (Aeroexpreso Cusco airport transfer, checked 2026-09-28; Aeroexpreso luggage policy, checked 2026-09-28)

Taxi Cusco Airport shows vehicle luggage capacity during booking and publishes limits by vehicle type. The company also offers child seats, subject to destination rules, availability and any additional charge shown during reservation. Tell the operator about oversized luggage, a child seat or a mobility requirement before confirming the vehicle. (Taxi Cusco Airport FAQ, checked 2026-09-28)

Aeroexpreso allows changes to the name, route or date without an additional change fee when requested at least 24 hours ahead, subject to seats and any fare difference. Its tickets are non-refundable. Save the digital confirmation and arrive at the meeting point five minutes before the scheduled boarding time. (Aeroexpreso plan-your-trip page, checked 2026-09-28)
