Bus 109 links Saigon Bus Station with Tan Son Nhat. FUTA added a T3 service in 2025; its older 2022 route notice gives earlier terminal stops, so check the current route display for your flight’s T1, T2 or T3 pickup. Bus 152 runs between Trung Son Residential Area, Ben Thanh and Tan Son Nhat. Its route document lists a 16.3 km route and a 50–70-minute scheduled journey. Grab offers GrabCar, GrabCar 7, GrabCar Plus, GrabBike and advance booking. GrabBike is limited to one traveller with light hand luggage; use a car for checked bags. The app gives the pickup instructions and an upfront fare for GrabCar products. Official airport taxi queues are another option. Grab publishes an approximate 25–40-minute journey from Ho Chi Minh City centre to Tan Son Nhat, based on an approximate 7 km distance. This is a city-centre average, not a hotel-to-terminal guarantee. Traffic, rain, the exact address and the terminal approach affect the road journey. Bus 152 has the clearest fixed journey figure: the transport authority publishes 50–70 minutes for one route trip. Route 109 makes city stops and shares road space with other traffic, and its latest airport terminal pattern is not fully described by the older route notice. Ho Chi Minh City's transport authority reports that Route 152 is free under the current bus-support programme through 31 December 2026. All passengers are covered through 30 September. Grab publishes an approximate VND 120,000–200,000 average price from the city centre. GrabCar displays an upfront fare before booking, so the live quote for your destination, vehicle and pickup point is the price to use. The Route 109 opening notice is from 2022 and no longer gives a dependable everyday timetable after later terminal changes. The airport publishes a free external shuttle linking T1, T2 and T3 from 04:30 to 00:30, normally every 15–20 minutes. Stops are T1 Lane B at columns B17–B20, T2 Lane B at columns B15–B16 and T3 Level 1 at columns A17–A20. This shuttle moves between terminals; it does not take passengers into the city. Connecting passengers also have an airside T3–T1 shuttle from 07:00 until 03:00 the following morning, normally every 20 minutes. Use it only when the airport's transit conditions apply and you still have the required boarding documents. The current bus notices do not publish a separate Sunday timetable or a guaranteed Sunday interval.
