Las Vegas Airport Transfers: Bus, Taxi and Shuttle

Harry Reid International Airport (LAS) is the main airport for most Las Vegas visitors. It is about two miles from the Strip; Henderson Executive and North Las Vegas Airport primarily serve general aviation. (LAS airport overview, checked 2026-09-28)

The lowest-cost public connection is RTC bus service. Route 108 and the Maryland Parkway RED LINE stop at Terminal 1, Level Zero. The RED LINE connects the airport with the South Strip Transit Terminal and continues towards downtown and the Medical District; route 108 runs along Paradise Road and connects with Bonneville Transit Center. A taxi is the simplest walk-up choice for luggage or a hotel away from the main corridor. Taxis queue outside Terminal 1 baggage claim at doors 1–4 and outside Terminal 3 near door 52. Bell Trans is one of the airport-listed shared-shuttle providers. Its current booking page covers Terminal 1 and Terminal 3, gives the airport meeting points as door 8 and door 51, and offers hotel transfers with advance online booking. RTC’s route 108 timetable shows an airport-to-Bonneville Transit Center trip of roughly 28 minutes on the listed early service, with intermediate stops at Tropicana, Flamingo, Desert Inn and Sahara. The bus serves a corridor rather than every hotel entrance, so add the walk from the stop and any connecting RTC route. The RED LINE provides a shorter airport-to-South Strip Transit Terminal connection: RTC publishes a 12–15 minute trip from the airport bus stop to SSTT. This is a transfer leg, not a door-to-door Strip journey. At SSTT, continue on another RTC service or use a taxi or rideshare for a hotel farther along Las Vegas Boulevard. Shared shuttles make multiple hotel stops, and Bell Trans does not publish one fixed airport-to-hotel duration on its booking page. Treat the quoted service as a shared route rather than a guaranteed direct ride. RTC classifies route 108 and the airport RED LINE as residential service. The current adult fare is $2 for a single ride, $3 for a two-hour pass and $5 for a 24-hour pass. Children aged five and under ride free when accompanied by an adult. You can pay with a contactless bank card or mobile wallet, use the rideRTC app, buy at the Terminal 1 Level Zero ticket machine, or board with exact cash. Bell Trans publishes $15 per person for a one-way airport-to-hotel shuttle and $28 for a return booking when reserved online. Its group offer is $135 one way for ten people. The company says return airport seats should be reserved at least 12 hours ahead to guarantee a seat; airport-to-hotel bookings can be made online close to arrival. Nevada’s Taxicab Authority publishes flat airport-to-Strip zone fares. Zone 1, from Sunset Road north to Tropicana, is $22.25; Zone 2, from Tropicana north to Flamingo, is $26.25; Zone 3, from Flamingo north to Stratosphere, is $30.25. The Nevada table’s posted zone figures are not an all-in total. An airport-property pickup fee of $2.40, $3 credit/debit-card fee if paid by card, 3% excise tax on rates and fees, and the active fuel surcharge may apply. Confirm the applicable fuel surcharge and final total before boarding. RTC’s current route 108 timetable shows service every day, with the first listed airport departure at 4:19 a.m. and departures continuing into the early morning. The timetable gives individual times for weekdays, Saturdays and Sundays rather than one generic frequency. For a simpler planning pattern, the RED LINE connects Terminal 1 with SSTT and RTC’s service-change information describes direct airport access, while the trip planner supplies the date-specific departure. RTC does not present a single universal first-and-last-departure value for every airport journey on the airport information page. The airport’s free inter-terminal shuttle runs regularly between Terminal 1 and Terminal 3, approximately every 20–30 minutes, and the airport publishes a journey time of about 10 minutes. Bell Trans publishes a daily shuttle pattern: airport departures to hotels run from 5:00 a.m. to midnight, with the last airport shuttle at 12:15 a.m.; hotel-to-airport service runs from 5:00 a.m. to 11:55 p.m. The operator asks passengers to arrive a few minutes before pickup, and its return-booking rule is separate from the airport departure window. Sunday is not excluded from public transport: the route 108 timetable has a separate Sunday schedule, beginning with the same early-morning airport departure pattern and continuing into the early hours. For a late arrival, first confirm whether your flight uses Terminal 1 or Terminal 3. The public-bus stop is at Terminal 1 Level Zero, so Terminal 3 passengers must allow time for the inter-terminal shuttle. If the connection no longer fits the published timetable, the airport taxi queue is outside baggage claim and rideshare pickup remains in the designated parking-garage area.
