Jardin Marie-Thérèse Auffray is a municipal green space in Paris’s 14th arrondissement, created in 2000 as part of the Alésia-Montsouris development. Construction revealed two aqueducts: one Gallo-Roman and one associated with Marie de Médicis. Their remains are incorporated into the garden, including an archaeological cross-section set into the walls. The site’s distinctive landscape uses earth embankments around the aqueducts to create an undulating lawn between the garden and its play areas. Facilities include play spaces for teenagers and young children, a ball-game terrace, climbing structures, benches, and drinking-water points. The garden’s vegetation changes seasonally, with flowering trees in spring, summer and autumn, and evergreen pines and marcescent hedges in winter. A shared garden called Jardin partagé de l’Aqueduc is nearby. The site was renamed in 2019 to honour painter and Resistance member Marie-Thérèse Auffray, whose gallery and studio were located in the surrounding neighbourhood. The entrance is at 8 avenue de la Sibelle.
