Crossway Park is a large informal park in Thamesmead, within the London Borough of Bexley. The exact OpenStreetMap boundary is way 504485899 and was updated in February 2026. Bexley Council’s nature-conservation review groups the park with Tump 52 and records 16.13 hectares of amenity grassland, woodland, scrub, canals, ponds and other wetland habitat. The council classified the site as locally important for nature conservation and recorded free public access across all or most of it.
The Thamesmead place-management website confirms that Crossway Park connects with Southmere Park and Abbey Way. It also documents current changes at the park: a circle of seven oak trees, created by artists Ackroyd & Harvey in partnership with Peabody, was completed with a public planting ceremony in January 2026. The project was intended as a community focal point and an artwork linked to urban ecology.
