The Orangery on this page is the café and light-meal restaurant inside the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew, not the similarly named venues at Kensington Palace or Holland Park. Its mapped position beside Kew Palace matches Kew’s 1761 Orangery, designed by Sir William Chambers. The building originally housed citrus trees and later served as Kew’s timber museum before becoming a café.

During September 2026, regular Orangery service is 10:00–18:00 on weekdays and 10:00–19:00 at weekends; last orders are 30 minutes before closing. Breakfast runs 10:00–11:30 and hot food 12:00–15:30. Kew’s current closure notice shortens service to 16:00 on 6, 18 and 19 September. The Gardens open late at 11:00 on 13 September because of Richmond Runfest, so the Orangery cannot be reached at its usual 10:00 start that day. Check Kew’s planned-closures page before every visit because private events or maintenance can change restaurant access.

The August 2026 menu lists toasted sandwiches from £6.10, seasonal vegetable soup at £6.50, the Full English at £12.50, a plant-based build-your-own meal at £15.25 and meat or fish versions at £16.25. A practical food-only estimate is therefore £6.10–£16.25 per person before drinks or extras. Main choices include red Thai chickpea and spinach curry, fish of the day with lemon and parsley oil, and lemon-thyme roast chicken. All Kew cafés and restaurants have level access. Kew also confirms a wheelchair-access toilet at the Orangery. The Kew Explorer land train stops nearby, and wheelchairs can be borrowed at garden entry gates.
