Open Tuesday-Sunday 10:00-18:00 with last entry at 17:00. Closed Monday and during the announced Spring Festival closure period. Outdoor sections are hot in summer and cold in winter, while rain or ice can make heritage paving and mountain paths harder to use. The museum is at Building 4, Pingod Community, 32 Baiziwan Road. Use Guomao on Subway Line 1 or Shuangjing/Jiulongshan connections, then bus, taxi or ride-hail for the Baiziwan Road final approach. Public transport is preferable where parking is scarce, and a campus, mountain temple or museum reservation never guarantees a parking place.

Accessible toilets and staff assistance support the principal route; individual installations can impose local circulation limits. Follow the designated visitor route and staff instructions, and do not cross barriers into worship, teaching, conservation or staff-only areas. Historic thresholds, steep paths, exhibition installations and crowd controls can narrow access even where the main route is usable. Keep bags compact, protect tickets and identification, and allow other visitors clear access to lifts, ramps and entrances.

Photography rules follow the active exhibition because lenders and artists can restrict individual works. Read the symbol beside each gallery entrance and artwork before using a camera. Where personal photography is allowed, avoid flash, tripods and lighting, keep equipment clear of lift doors and accessible routes, and do not touch installations for a pose. Contemporary multimedia rooms may be dark or contain moving images, so lower screen brightness and silence the shutter. Commercial, editorial or staged photography requires museum permission. Exterior images of the Pingod buildings should respect residents using the surrounding community.
