About Wu Shan Recreation Playground
Wu Shan Recreation Playground is the LCSD sports and cycling complex on Wu Shan Road in Tuen Mun, not Wu Shan Riverside Park, Wu Shan Tennis Courts, Wu Shan Bowling Green or the adjacent Butterfly Beach Sports Centre. LCSD currently lists a cycling area, four free outdoor basketball courts and one 11-a-side artificial-turf football pitch.
Hours depend on the exact facility. The venue directory lists the recreation playground daily from 07:00 to 23:00. The cycling area is open 24 hours, the basketball courts 07:00–23:00 and the football pitch 08:00–23:00. The football pitch participates in SmartPLAY advance balloting 14–20 days before use; casual entry to the playground does not reserve it. A bicycle-rental kiosk is listed, but LCSD does not state that bicycle hire is free.
Shared facilities include toilets and changing rooms, an enquiry office, first-aid room, drinking fountain, refreshment kiosk and lockers. LCSD identifies an accessible toilet, tactile guide path, visual fire alarm and Braille directory map. It does not label every route step-free, so visitors needing a specific accessible route should call +852 2463 7597.
Tuen Mun South Extension construction is active beside and within parts of the wider site. The former road-safety town has been re-provisioned at Tuen Mun Recreation and Sports Centre beside Light Rail Depot Stop and officially reopened there on 24 February 2026; do not expect that facility at the playground. LCSD’s current pages still list the cycling, basketball and football facilities, so construction is not treated as a whole-playground closure. A separate Lunar New Year notice says the artificial-turf pitch resumed normal hours on 19 February 2026; that dated holiday closure is no longer current. From Siu Hei Light Rail Stop, route 507 connects with Tuen Mun and the Tuen Ma line.
