Suzhou Museum (苏州博物馆) is a regional comprehensive museum established in 1960 on the original site of Prince Zhong Mansion, a nationally protected historic complex associated with the Taiping Heavenly Kingdom. Its present museum building, completed and opened in 2006, was designed by Suzhou-born architect I. M. Pei. It stands beside the Humble Administrator’s Garden and Lion Grove Garden in the historic area of Suzhou.

The museum’s collections centre on Suzhou history, Wu culture, and Jiangnan artistic traditions. Displays include excavated archaeological objects, Ming- and Qing-dynasty paintings and calligraphy, ceramics, bronze objects, jade, ivory and horn carvings, silk, embroidery, handicrafts, and ancient books. Basic exhibitions present themes including Wu treasures, Wu pagodas, and Wu arts. The complex also incorporates the historic Prince Zhong Mansion, while the modern building uses white walls, dark-grey rooflines, courtyards, and garden-inspired views to connect contemporary architecture with Suzhou’s traditional landscape design. The museum is at 204 Dongbei Street in Gusu District.
