Le Select is a historic Parisian brasserie at 99 Boulevard du Montparnasse, in the 6th arrondissement. Founded in 1923, it became one of the cafés that shaped Montparnasse’s interwar intellectual and artistic life. Ernest Hemingway, F. Scott Fitzgerald and Pablo Picasso are among the figures associated with the restaurant. The venue is known for its terrace, mirrors, old woodwork and traditional brasserie atmosphere. Its menu includes French classics such as gratinated onion soup, Burgundy escargots, steak dishes, seafood and crème brûlée. A weekday set menu is also available. Le Select is located near the Vavin crossroads and is convenient for exploring the cafés and streets of Montparnasse.
