About Lido Beach

Lido Beach (麗都灣泳灘) is a gazetted public beach in Hong Kong’s Tsuen Wan District, west of Tsuen Wan and south of Castle Peak Road. It stands at the 11½ milestone on Castle Peak Road in Ting Kau, beside Casam Beach. The beach faces south and is set in a lightly developed coastal area with low-rise houses near the shore. Its position provides views towards Ting Kau Bridge and Kap Shui Mun Bridge. Lido Beach is managed by Hong Kong’s Leisure and Cultural Services Department. Facilities listed by the department include a raft, light refreshment kiosk, changing room, showers, toilet, self-service storage cage, bathing shed and beach volleyball court. The beach is one of Hong Kong’s beaches open to swimmers throughout the year, although raft availability can change during maintenance. The Environmental Protection Department’s latest listed grading is Grade 2, or Fair. Visitors planning to swim should check current water-quality information and beach notices before travelling.
