Jardin de Kyiv is a public garden in Paris’s 8th arrondissement, beside the Petit Palais and within the Jardins des Champs-Élysées. The site was created in 2005 and was formerly known as the Jardin des Abords-du-Petit-Palais. In 2023, Paris officially gave it the name Jardin de Kyiv – au peuple ukrainien, honouring Kyiv and the Ukrainian people during Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. The garden was inaugurated on 24 August 2023, Ukraine’s Independence Day, by the mayors of Paris and Kyiv. Its setting combines formal planting around the Petit Palais with the wider landscape of the Champs-Élysées gardens. The garden is accessible from Avenue Winston-Churchill, Cours la Reine, and Avenue Charles-Girault. It is a compact green stop for visitors walking between the Petit Palais, Grand Palais, the Champs-Élysées, and the Seine. The nearby Champs-Élysées–Clemenceau station is served by Metro lines 1 and 13. A statue of Winston Churchill and a fountain stand beside the garden, adding identifiable landmarks to this short urban visit.
