Salle Pleyel is a concert hall in Paris’s 8th arrondissement, at 252 rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré. The institution was founded in 1839 and moved to its current address in 1927. The present building was designed around the acoustic work of Gustave Lyon, with architectural contributions from Jacques Marcel Auburtin, André Granet and Jean-Baptiste Mathon. It officially opened on 18 October 1927. The hall became associated with classical music and jazz, and its programme now includes orchestral concerts, jazz, rock, pop, electronic music, comedy and other live performances. The venue is near Place des Ternes, Avenue Hoche and Place Charles de Gaulle. Metro access includes Ternes on line 2 and Charles de Gaulle–Étoile on lines 1 and 6, as well as RER A. Salle Pleyel is accessible to visitors with reduced mobility through a dedicated entrance. Concert access and ticket arrangements vary by event, so visitors should consult the official programme before travelling.
