Barranco municipal park

Barranco Municipal Park is a historic public space in the center of Barranco’s Monumental Zone, between Pedro de Osma and Miguel Grau avenues. Peru’s official tourism inventory dates its inauguration to 13 February 1898 under Mayor Pedro Solari. A fountain with a water-nymph sculpture was installed in 1906, and a comprehensive 1943 remodeling introduced the rectangular pool and marble pedestals. The same inventory records the park as part of Peru’s national cultural heritage under Supreme Resolution 2900-72-ED and identifies the Municipality of Barranco as the authority responsible for its maintenance.
