Pančićev Park is the Lower Dorćol neighbourhood park between Pančićeva, Kapetan Mišina and Visokog Stevana streets in Belgrade’s Stari Grad municipality. The municipal park operator identifies it as the largest park in Dorćol and places it beside the old tram depot and GSP garage. This street triangle is the clearest way to distinguish the target from other green spaces associated with Josif Pančić.

The park is named for the 19th-century Serbian physician and botanist Josif Pančić, but his public monument is not documented here. Belgrade’s official heritage account places the 1897 Đorđe Jovanović statue of Pančić in Academic Park, also known as Studentski Park, which was historically called Pančićev Park. Visitors searching for the monument should therefore go to Academic Park; the Lower Dorćol site is a separate 20th-century neighbourhood park.

The operator records a past reconstruction that replaced water installations, renewed lawns, arranged a children’s playground and adapted the park for people with disabilities. It also says a separately fenced pet area and the Mika Alas Fountain are nearby; those should not be described as necessarily inside the park boundary. The accessibility statement is general and does not document a continuous step-free route, surface gradients, accessible toilets or a specific entrance.

Belgrade is building the larger Linear Park through the nearby Dorćol waterfront corridor, with several sections still under construction in 2026. Current city updates do not identify Pančićev Park itself as closed, so the Linear Park works must not be reported as a confirmed closure here. The checked official sources publish no park-specific opening hours, admission rule, toilet inventory or named transit stop. Use the surrounding street names for arrival and check current municipal notices if construction affects the chosen approach.
