Spomenik Ćirilu i Metodiju u Beogradu is a bronze memorial to Saints Cyril and Methodius in Park Ćirila i Metodija, the green space also known as Park kod Vuka or Park kod Vukovog spomenika. The monument was created by Macedonian artist Tome Serafimovski and unveiled on 2 June 2006. Including its pedestal, it is five metres high. The City of Belgrade describes the work as a gift connected with the Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts and the Macedonian Academy of Sciences and Arts; the pedestal was made by the city, while businessman Goran Tomić financed the monument. The park lies in Belgrade’s Zvezdara municipality, between Ruzveltova Street, Bulevar kralja Aleksandra and Ulica kraljice Marije, behind Vukov Spomenik. It occupies 1.15 hectares and contains monuments to Cyril and Methodius, Alexander Pushkin and Vuk Stefanović Karadžić. The city identifies Cyril and Methodius as ninth-century Thessalonian Slavic educators associated with the Glagolitic alphabet and the spread of literacy and Christianity among Slavs. The memorial is mapped as historic=memorial at the supplied coordinates.
