Muhsine Hatun Mosque stands in Istanbul’s Kumkapı area, in Saraç İshak neighbourhood. The official Fatih mosques register says Grand Vizier İbrahim Paşa commissioned it at the request of his wife, Muhsine Hatun. Its inscription dates the building to AH 939, or 1532. The same register places it on Çifte Gelinler Caddesi and identifies the address as number 46.

The Turkish Historical Society studies Muhsine Hatun Mescidi among the early works associated with Mimar Sinan. Its research reads the inscription as 1532–1533 and notes that nineteenth-century renovation removed much of the original architectural appearance. The present building should therefore be read as a layered monument rather than an untouched sixteenth-century mosque.

The official architectural description records masonry walls beneath a timber roof, long rectangular windows, a wooden ceiling, pulpit and lectern, and a tiled mihrab. A two-level gallery stands on wooden supports along the north wall. The single-balcony minaret combines a cut-stone base with a brick shaft. No dependable public visiting timetable is published in the checked official sources, so plan around worship and follow instructions at the mosque rather than assuming museum-style access.
