About Wienerblick

Wiener Blick, also written Wienerblick, is a scenic viewpoint in the Lainzer Tiergarten in Vienna’s Hietzing district. The viewpoint lies on the city side of the preserve, near the Sankt Veiter Tor entrance, and is reached as part of the area’s walking network. At an elevation of about 434 metres, Wiener Blick looks across Vienna from the wooded hills at the western edge of the city. The viewpoint is associated with a large meadow, making the clearing a distinct contrast to the surrounding forest. On clear days, the elevated position provides a long view over Vienna and beyond; the Hietzing district description records sightlines reaching toward Slovakia. Wiener Blick is an outdoor landscape feature rather than a tower or enclosed attraction. Nearby points in the Lainzer Tiergarten include the Tenno Kogo Stone and Hermesvilla, while the reserve itself combines woodland, meadows, wildlife habitat and walking routes.
