About Gösser Bierklinik
Gösser Bierklinik was a traditional Austrian restaurant and beer house at Steindlgasse 4 in Vienna’s Innere Stadt. The building is also known as Zum Steindl and has served as a restaurant since 1566, with the house itself first documented in 1406. Its historic character included the preserved “Zum güldenen Drachen” house sign and a listed building status. The restaurant was associated with Gösser beer and offered draught and bottled beers from Gösser and other breweries. Its traditional Viennese menu included goulash, Blunzengröstl, veal Beuschel, Tafelspitz, Wiener Schnitzel, Fiakergulasch, Kaiserschmarrn and apple strudel. A published menu also listed beef tartare, pumpkin cream soup, roast venison, pork knuckle and salmon. The restaurant closed permanently after 6 January 2025, so historical menu and contact information should not be treated as current visitor details.
