About The Garden Oriental Osaka

The Garden Oriental Osaka is the former Osaka City Hall guest house at 10-35 Amijimacho, now combining The Lounge, gardens, weddings and private events. A public visit is possible, but these uses are not interchangeable. The operator allows general viewing between 10:00 and 18:00, while warning that weddings, meetings or banquets can restrict access and that entry is refused on closure days or outside viewing hours. Groups should enquire in advance.

The Lounge is the verified public food-and-drink offering. Its earlier lunch course ended on 20 April 2026; current bookings focus on café, dessert and afternoon-tea products. For 1 September–30 November, the live operator booking page lists a Shine Muscat and Oriental Beauty seasonal parfait at ¥3,200. Shine Muscat afternoon tea runs from 3 September–16 November at ¥7,800, with reservation conditions and a 10% service charge. These are dated products, not a general price band.

Do not rely on a fixed weekly timetable. The lounge page displays Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday 11:00–17:00 and weekends/holidays 12:00–17:00, but a newer notice says Tuesday and Wednesday became regular closure days from July 2026. Because those operator surfaces conflict, use the live TableCheck date selector or call 06-6358-5533 before travelling. Terrace seating can also be unavailable during weddings or banquets.

JR Osakajo-kitazume Station Exit 3 is about one minute away; Keihan and Osaka Metro Kyobashi stations are about seven minutes on foot. The weekend shuttle is for wedding guests, not general café visitors. The operator describes the building as barrier-free, with wheelchair and pushchair access, a multipurpose accessible toilet and baby-changing table. Thirty parking spaces are available without advance reservation, so rail is safer when the venue is busy.
